1. AEC manufactures ACSR (Aluminum Conductors, Galvanized Steel-Reinforced) up to 520 sq mm.
2. These conductors are produced according to BIS IS 398 (Pt.2) and other international standards.
3. ACSR conductors are widely used for power transmission.
4. They consist of concentrically stranded aluminum wires over a galvanized steel wire core.
5. The steel core is coated with zinc, either Class A or Class B.
6. Various stranding combinations of aluminum and steel wires are available.
7. These combinations allow for flexible adjustments to current carrying capacity and mechanical strength.
